How Do I Prevent Mateline from Being Cleared During the Background Running?

Some phones will clear or stop apps to release system resources or disable the network permission of background apps during the app background running. As a result, apps cannot continuously report locations or update online status. To ensure that Mateline is not cleared during the background running, perform the following operations. Different settings are provided for different mobile phones. The following describes the settings of common mobile phone models.

Huawei and Honor Series

  • Magic UI 2.0/2.0.1: Touch Phone Manager > App Launch. Select Mateline, and disable Manage automatically. In the message that is displayed, enable Run in background and touch OK.
  • EMUI 9.X: Touch Phone Manager > App Launch. Select Mateline, and disable Manage automatically. In the message that is displayed, enable Run in background and touch OK.
  • EMUI 8.0: Touch Phone Manager > App Launch, and set Mateline to Manage automatically.

Mi Mobile Phone

Touch and hold the home key, and drag Mateline down till a lock icon is displayed. The Mateline is locked. (The actual operation may vary due to the model difference.)

VIVO Mobile Phone

Method 1: Touch Menu, touch Mateline and drag it down to add it to Whitelist.

Method 2: Touch i Manager > Power manager > Excessive background battery usage, and touch Allow for Mateline app.

OPPO Mobile Phone

Touch Settings > Battery > Energy Saver, touch Mateline, and disable Freeze background apps and Auto optimize when abnormal behavior detected.

For iPhone

Touch Settings > Mateline > Location > Always.
